Austin Powers Trilogy (1997-2002)

I was too young to see most of the Austin Powers movies as they were released. I remember kids always saying shit like “a shmoke and a pancake” and “you complete me” to each other in middle school and not knowing what tf they were talking about. I was extra bored this weekend and copped a lil more weed than usual so I figured I would dive in. Most British shit to me is automatically funny, i.e. the name “Felicity Shagwell.” This really is just a combination of non-stop British funnies and star power (Michael Cane, Beyonce, and even Tom Cruise for a sec just to name a few). Maybe it’s because I watched them all back-to-back-to-back, but I mostly agreed with Ozzy Osbourne’s take in Goldmember: “They’re just making the same jokes from the first movie!” It probably banged harder in the early 2000s, but these are great flicks to run back when ur bored or have the Sunday Scaries.
